Muriwai Arts Trail November 2022

Come celebrate the arts with 25 local artists - painting, photography, jewellery, ceramics, illustration, sculpture and textile creators all clearly inspired by the rugged coastal environment in which they live.

These artists (many award winning) aim to inspire and nurture creativity through workshops, exhibitions, open studios and unique experiences. Proudly part of the North West Arts charitable Trust.

Open studio arts trail: A unique opportunity to meet the artists in their element and to view their art within the setting that has inspired it, learn or simply ‘step out of the ordinary’.

Art - food - drink @ Muriwai: Three great venues to see art, and taste local cuisine.

Good from Scratch: Owned and operated by Bee and celebrity chef Mike van de Elzen.  Enjoy a sculpture exhibition from local artists and a walk through the gardens and grounds.

Muriwai Lodge and Deli: Located in the 100 year old historical Muriwai Lodge. Locally famous for their sourdough and donuts! Plus works on display from local artists.

Muriwai Links Golf Club: Ranked as one of New Zealand’s top golf courses with prime views of the Pacific ocean. Visit the pop up gallery and exhibition at the Pro shop. Refreshments available in the club house.

Muriwai Arts Trail

I am proud to be a part of the Muriwai Art Trail. This event held at 18 month intervals, brings together local artists and art lovers.

An Exhibition of art is held in the Surf Club hall and various artists open their home studios to the public in the Arts Trail.

Visitors get an opportunity to view workspaces and discuss the inspiration that drives our creativity.
