I began this series by wanting to depict the connections we have to our earth, the elements and to each other. So I started with the earth connecting down through the layers to the molten heart. This can be seen in the first painting I did - "Birth Connections" (on canvas) and in "Growing Connections (on paper)
The other paintings move on from there.
